PTO Meeting Minutes

October 28, 2020

6pm

Attendance: Heather Adams, Katie Anderson, Jordan Carr, Kelly Neely, Cici Pleitez, Hollie     Jones, Jodi Williams, Deb Noll, Kellie Quick, Claudia Rodriguez, Christina Hersh, Josiane Stewart, Brittany Checo, Lauren Gross, Scott Farley, Andrea Forry, Valeria Velasco, Kalli Kunkle

1. Socktober

1. Toilet paper was the most requested item and we received a lot of it
2. Heather will post picture of collection on social media

   II. Fall Activities on Friday

      A.   Each child will have a pumpkin to decorate with Sharpies or stickers

      B.   Each child will receive a goody bag

      C.   Heather bought iced Halloween cookies from Sam’s

1. Alternate snack will be available for kids with allergies

      D.   Pumpkins and goody bags will be available for those attending HTCS online

  III. Book Fair

1. Friday 10/30 to Friday 11/13
2. Will be virtual this year
3. Free shipping with $25+ purchase
4. If we sell $2400 we get 40% profit

  IV. Claire’s Gourmet orders are due 10/30

1. Delivery will be on 11/23
2. Already have $500+ in online orders
3. French bread pizza will be available for order through paper orders but not online

   V. Coffee with Kathleen

1. For grades 4, 5, 6 at the end of November

  VI. Mr. Sticky 

1. Sticky buns made in Lancaster
2. Possible fundraiser for December
3. They do not deliver so Heather Adams and Jen Boger would pick up

 VII. Service Projects

1.  November: contact Catholic Harvest Food Pantry to see what items are needed and have a food collection
2. December: maybe make cards for nursing homes

1. Would have to make the cards in late November/early December so the cards can be quarantined for 2 weeks before distribution to residents

VIII. Ideas to replace Christmas concert (which is probably not happening)

1. Have children make a video reading different parts of a book or telling a story
2. Make bird feeders and hang outside nursing homes
3. Take the kids caroling outside the nursing homes

  IX. Thanksgiving gift for staff

1. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar with pastries and goody bags
2. Sandwich Man catering for lunch
