"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen" -1 Peter 4:10-11
What is happening in Art?
Month of September: Students were catching on that I want them to sketch ideas out before they start their main art project in a lesson. The purpose of sketching in any art process is to create a practice plan. As a professional artist myself, I don't start a commissioned piece of art or logo with specific requested details without a plan. Benjamin Franklin said it best, "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail". Whether in art or another subject, the act of a plan and practice ensures the success of our students futures.
Month of August: Students began Art class by making their own special portfolio where they will store their in-progress art pieces. I emphasized to each class that a professional artist would use their own portfolio, filled with their art, to present to a gallery or a client to showcase what their abilities are.
